Click here for archived whale sightings reports going back to 2001, presented month by month.

The Sightings Archives include every whale sighting report sent in to Orca Network from literally thousands of observers, whether from shorelines or aboard a vessel. These reports are valuable for establishing essential habitats needed by the whales. Many of the reports reflect the excitement and fascination people feel when seeing whales travelling by, frolicking, foraging or socializing, at home in their natural habitats. Watching whales seems to prompt people to want to share their stories with family, friends or with complete strangers, and often leads to sustained interest in the whales, as well as heightened dedication to protect them and their critical habitats.

The large volume of reports and the limited space here don't allow inclusion of photos and videos, but to see on-line versions of actual reports from the previous year or so please see: Orca Network Sightings Report Archives Homepage
