Celebrating Toki's Legacy

  • Washington State Ferry Tokitae and Clinton Community Hall (map)

Join Orca Network for a special Orca Action Month event honoring the life and legacy of Tokitae (Lolita), the Southern Resident orca captured off Whidbey Island in 1970.

12:00 to 4:00 PM: Orca Network staff and volunteers will be onboard the Tokitae ferry for the unveiling of a new mural and updated interpretive panels about Tokitae's family, the endangered Southern Resident orcas.

4:00 to 8:00 PM: Please join us at the Clinton Community Hall at 6411 S. Central Ave in Clinton, WA. The event will include educational displays, light refreshments, speakers, and opportunities to support Orca Network’s Toki’s Legacy project and marine conservation efforts. It’s free and open to the public, and we hope to see a strong community turnout.
