Join us for our annual Welcome the Whales Parade to Celebrate and Welcome the Sounders Gray Whales!

Saturday April 11th

11:00 - Costume making and activities at Langley United Methodist Church, 301 Anthes Ave. Learn about gray whales with displays and children’s activities while creating your masterpiece. We will have some supplies to make gray whale crowns, dorsal fin hats, and wands, as well as craft supplies you can add to your own costume.

1:15 - Begin staging for the parade at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts parking lot at 6th and Cascade. Check in at the table for information on where to stage.

2:00 - Welcome the Whales parade through Langley, ending at Hope the Gray Whale and Seawall Park.

2:30ish - As soon as the parade ends. Waterside ceremony at Seawall Park with music, poetry, celebration, and a lot of love for the Sounders.
